We are delighted to share the exciting results of the second edition of the Into the Rabbit Hole Design competition, organized by Archiol. This competition aimed to break the banality of healing architecture designs and urged architects and designers to explore extreme possibilities in architectural design.
In a world where mental health issues are on the rise, the need for innovative and imaginative solutions has never been more critical. Architects and designers, as shapers of the built environment, bear the responsibility of contributing to the well-being of individuals through their creative endeavors.
The Into the Rabbit Hole Design competition went beyond the realm of literal designs. It was a platform for pushing the boundaries of conventional thinking and exploring new dimensions of architectural design. Participants were encouraged to think outside the box and develop conceptual designs that surpassed conditioned norms, creating a space—an underland—that could heal stressed living beings using geometry and volume as primary tools of expression.
We received an overwhelming response from around the world, and the creativity, innovation, and passion displayed by the participants were truly inspiring. The submissions showcased a profound understanding of the relationship between architecture and mental well-being.
