JURY COMMENTS
"Highly innovative work, really interesting concept that appears to be progressed logically through a number of iterations. The analysis and rigour of translation to architectural form is commendable."

Rethinking the Underpass
Dmitry Kuznetsov, Ilya Alnykin & Timothey Smelov
JURY COMMENTS
"An interesting and well-thought through concept to bring joy to people's daily journeys. All underpasses need these kinds of interventions! The three interventions are easily understood, well drawn, and inventive. This is creative and highly commendable work."

The Chess Paradox

JURY COMMENTS
"Very interesting proposal, creative and refreshing. I like the interaction with people, and with the city architecture. I know chess and I know the site, but am not sure why there are these separate pieces from A to F?"

JURY COMMENTS
"A lovely idea, I like the life and colour it brings to this dreary area. The kinetic aspect is good, and the trigger of an amount of people seems logical. The videos help, but a before and after fixed image would also be useful - and showing people, so the concept is demonstrably explained. This proposal has potential to be developed further."

JURY COMMENTS
"This is a positive intervention based around a really interesting nexus between rich and poor. I felt the design could have been pushed more, it is a little simplistic, an intervention could have been more interactive with people using all five senses"

JURY COMMENTS
"This is an interesting and innovative proposal, however it is hard to decipher what the actual architectural proposal is. The design starts and ends as an ephemeral concept - it needs to be pushed to an actual intervention proposal. How will it be built?"
